Well, that's a good question and we're glad you asked.
"PAKSOC UNSW is a student-run society that ventures to facilitate and celebrate interaction between Pakistani students and the multicultural student population of UNSW.
Our motto is to promote acceptance and have fun, while acting as the official representatives of Pakistan to UNSW.
Through a plethora of sports, social, cultural and intellectual events we aim to bring together a diverse group and promote our Pakistani culture and heritage. Our events are open not only to UNSW students; we aim to inculcate students from various universities and the general local community as well.
The executive committee is overjoyed to welcome all who appreciate fine food and grand events, along with providing assistance in any way we can."

ABDULLAH C
My initial impression of Paksoc was very different from what it is now. At first it seemed a close knit friends group rather than an open society.
However after attending several of their events I ended up making a lot of really good friends and attending their events made me feel a lot closer to home because of the way they represent our country’s culture.

Paksoc is your slice of Pakistan on campus and provides a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with your cultural heritage.
FARYAL I

Growing up in Australia there was this inexplicable desire to know and connect to my heritage.
PAKSOC has not only enriched my knowledge but also have allowed me to meet new people who have shared similar experience.
